Jane Ascroft ACA MA (Cantab) - Personal Profile
I am a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales. I also have a mathematics degree from Cambridge University and am a qualified
teacher.
I started my accountancy training in Bristol in 1996 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant
in 1999 when I also moved back up to the north of England. I have 14 years experience as an
accountant, all of those spent helping small businesses and charities reach their potential.
My other interests include the following:
- Trustee of 2D (Support for the Voluntary and Community Sector of Teesdale and

- Carrying out voluntary examinations of the accounts for small local charities in association
with 2D (Support for the Voluntary and Community Sector of Teesdale and Weardale).

Apart from business and other interests, personal hobbies include hill walking, rock climbing,
running and swimming.
